About Me

Alexandra Orchard is a published author from the UK where she lives with her family by the sea (and 2 black cats, who she frequently posts on Instagram)

She started writing when she was 8, and hasn't stopped since. She has a Bachelor of Art in Creative Writing, and was previously shortlisted for a novel award by Sony and Malorie Blackman.

She has also been a part of the Creator and Paid programmes on writing site, Wattpad (she is no longer on the site) and has frequently mentored authors on the site through a community mentoring project via the site.

​

Alex writes contemporary romance, but always mixes it with extra elements, tending to favour writing normal people in extraordinary circumstances.

In 2022, Alex's book The Burden of Us was traditionally published, and the book is now published on Amazon worldwide.

As of 2025, Alex has publishing deals with Varus Publishing for 5 books (check out more under 'My Books' section of the site!)
